Is there a way to add a few employees to this template with color legends for each person to reflect when they are on PTO, sick, OOO, Jury duty, Holiday, and FMLA?

Hello,

I assume the referenced calendar is Excel Calendar Template Date Formulas Explained.

Even though this Automated Work Schedule in Excel calendar does not show the information in a calendar view, I think it should do what you want.

Br,
Anders

@sehlsan I was able to add those categories into the first template but I couldnt figure out how to add the color legends to reflectonthecalendar

, I think I may seek support for a step by step. The second option you provided could work but unfortunately my boss needs it in calendar view. Thank you soo much for replying.

@riny

I have added the names and categories but cant figure out how to add color legends and for it to show on the calendar. The colors would have to show for the person and what type of PTO they are on.

@kpalaci15

The trick is to alter the "blue" CF rule by changing the first range of the "applies to" range to only one cell for a particular employee. So not $AJ$25:$AJ$28, but just $AJ$25. Then duplicate the rule and change that part to $AJ$26 (and so on) and set another colour.

I've done this for two rules and trust that you can do the same for all others you may want to add. However, be aware that when different employees are off on the same day you can only return one colour. And that's probably why the original user (Adam) was happy with one colour for any employee's absence.

Edit: Forgot to respond to needing separate colours for each type of leave as well. 4 employees with 5 possible leave type makes 20 separate CF rules. You'll soon run out of colours and still you can not mark more that one colour per day.

This template is just not up to it, I'm afraid.
