An Excel Pivot Table is one of the most powerful productivity tools available, but some common data layout mistakes can make Pivot Tables difficult, frustrating and downright scary for some users. Thankfully these issues are easily fixed.

I've put together a short video that'll get you started with Pivot Tables, and when your data is formatted correctly you'll see how easy they are.

Plus, I'll identify what data layouts are going to cause you problems and how to fix them.

    I am truly amazed at the complexity of Excel and what it will do I can only express admiration for the designers who write the programme as we are only attempting to use a programme they have provided. I find your explanations and presentation first class. I have always been a Paradox and Access user so Excel is another world
