I have followed the demo and tried six times but I cannot get it to work. Firstly I use VLOOKUP as I don’t have XLOOKUP. The problem is not here. I get to the last process which is clicking on the image and entering the formula name, this gives me the error “Reference is not Valid” I have checked and rechecked.

Hi Anton,
Welcome to our forum!
Can you please upload your Excel file so we can see how your workbook is structured and identify where things have gone wrong. You must click the 'start upload' button after selecting your file, then wait for the grey check mark beside the file size before clicking 'submit reply'.

Hello Anton,
Nearly there, it is not the pictures you are to name, it is the cells where the pictures are that are to be named. See attached file.
Here is also the blog post for this topic.

Hello Anders, thank you for your reply. I am still having an issue. Firstly I tried to copy the worksheet to another workbook but the program does not work in the new workbook. I also notice that clicking on the validation table, Fan5 does not change the image. I tried to name the cells as you say but this does not work because I get the error 'Reference is not Valid' when I enter anything in the formula bar. Please also note when I look at the 'Name Manager' there is a reference to Table 1 which is part of the new workbook. There is also no mention here of the last image, Fan5

Hello,
Just came to think about your issues with this picture lookup this morning. I did mention in my first post that it is not the pictures you are to name, but the cells. What I didn't write, as I thought it was obvious, is that you have to rename your pictures so they don't have the same reference name. I have done so in the files I have uploaded, but perhaps you are still using your original setup.
