Hi!

Attached is an Excel file with sample data and PowerChart.

Is it possible to display charts (change charts) automatically, as one moves from one cell to another highlighting products ID (column A)?  Now need to change ID (please refer to column P).

Thank you for your attention, suport.

Kind regards, Luke

Hi Lukasz,

The layout of your data is wrong for a Pivot Chart. If it were in a tabular layout you could use Slicers to select different products to display in the chart. You can use Power Query to unpivot the data.

See attached.

Thank you Mandy. It is useful. The issue is I have over 5000 products. Not sure if over 5000 buttons is the best solution :-|. Luke

And using the arrow key to select one cell at a time is your desired result? If you prefer, you can use the PivotTable Filters to search for the product you want displayed in the chart. I guess it's not clear how you plan to use the chart and change which product is displayed in it?

We are using it exactly as showed in sample Excel file I've send. The only difference is number of products (and time series) - over 5000 instead of merely 2. The point is: now user have to choose product twice. First user needs to do it in column A (ID) and to see corresponding time series user has to choose product ID in column P. Twice the same work. Question is if it can be done with one click, instead of several clicks?

In my example the user only needs to choose the ID once, either in the Slicer, or in the filter either in the PivotTable, or if you prefer to have the filter on the face of the chart you can re-enable the field buttons on the chart and put the ID back so they click the drop down on the chart and type in or search for the ID they want displayed.

To re-enable the field buttons on the face of the chart, go to the PivotChart Analyze tab > Field Buttons > deselect Hide All. Then you can turn everything off except for the Filters.
