Having watched the Interactive Dashboard videos I thought I'd attempt to put together a simple dashboard to present stats to my basketball team throughout next season.
We'll be recording how many free throws each person makes (per month) calculating a percentage for the month per player (and totalled for the team) as well as a total for the year.
Ideally I'd like to be include sliders for players (surnames) and the months.
I've discovered that I, out of my depth with even this simple task so some assistance to point me in the right directions would be much appreciated. I may have started with a completely inappropriate design which is why I'm struggling.
Many thanks in anticipation.

Mynda,
Sorry, though I had... #schoolboyerror
Thanks,

Hi Nick,
Thanks for sharing your file. You're absolutely right, the layout of your free throw data table is not suitable for analysing and PivotTables. You must start with your data in a tabular format (follow link to understand further).
In your case you would have the following columns in a tabular dataset:
- Player
- Month/Date
- Att
- Made
From there you can build PivotTables to create the report view you currently have on the Free Throw page and further charts etc. for your dashboard.
I hope that points you in the right direction.
