Dear all
I am trying to build a function that calculates how many steps I need to walk next day to add 1 to the average
I hope somebody may help me

Can you please add an example workbook so we don’t need to recreate the data.

Maybe a little bit more explaining the issue as well might help

Hi Jihad Saleh Alhalabi, welcome to Mynda's Forum!

Since you are already using the average function in row 3 and you seem to want the outcome of your question in Q2, why don't you use there '=P3+1'?

As Purfleet said, can you please add a clear explanation of what you are trying to achieve.  I do not understand what you mean by adding 1 to the average?

Why is Frans answer not suitable?

=(P$3+1)*COLUMNS($B$2:Q$2)-SUM($B$2:P$2)
