Hi everyone,
I'd like to know, if it's possible to create a dynamic drop down list in cell A32 and B32. I have already created a drop down list for A32, that contains the green info from the table. What i would want, is to create a dynamic drop down list, so that if i choose one value from A32, it will give me the numbers under that value (watch the table above) as a drop down list in cell B32.
For example if i choose from A32 the value E10H1A01, the numbers from 10 to 1200 will appear on B32 as a drop down list, if i choose E40H2A01 it gives me the drop down list of the values 10 to 400 on B32, and so on.
Is it possible to create using some functions? For example VLOOKUP, by naming the whole blue area of the table?
I'd like to avoid macros if possible.
Since the data can be long, it wouldn't make sense for me to name each column because i have watched some videos of dynamic drop downs lists where they name each column separately and manage to do that somehow. I have attached the excel here to make it easier to understand, and i have written the same comment there. Thank very much in advance!

Hi Stefi,
Creating a name for each column is the way to do it. Try these articles

Hi Philip,
The links you sent me helped me to create the list successfully to the excel sheet I attached here which i simplified, although when I tried to do it on a bigger scale it keeps telling me there’s an error that I can’t track. Since the sheet i’m working on is for a company and I can’t attach the whole file here, i’ll try to figure out what causes the problem. But thank you very much for the links 🙂
Greetings,
Stefi
