Hi All:
I performed a couple of searches and could not find anything on this topic. Probably because I don't know what it is called. I'm looking to create a spreadsheet where I can enter a date range, number of months, base rent rate, expense rent rate and have the data then converted into a rent schedule.
Example Feb. 2023-Jan. 2024 rent = $4,200/mo., Feb. 2024-Jan. 2025 rent = $4,450/mo., etc. Preferably by entering a start rent then specifying the percent increase each 12 months.
- I want it to calculate based on the date range (or maybe just a start date) and the number of months I've specified as the lease term. In other words, I enter March 1, 2023 as the start date and 36 months and Excel makes the table.
- The second detail is that I'd like it to show the base rent as one line, the expense rent (NNN) as another line, then the total rent. After year 1, those two types of rent may increase at different percentages.
Does this request make sense? I don't know what to call it when you have something in Excel setup to where you can specify some variables and it lays out the tables for you. It's almost like I want it to be an app, like an amortization schedule.
Cheers!

Hello,
Check out this blog post about finding free templates, the very first template described seems to be such template you need.
