Good Evening All, I have an issue in my "analysis" worksheet where the actual value isn't recorded in all of the categories in my table. Please take a look and advise me how to fix it. I attempted to build the workbook myself but had a similar issue so now I just downloaded the free template only to have the above-mentioned issue. I think it has something to do with not all of the accounts processing from the "transactions" worksheet. Thank you to those who attempt to help me fix it
Hi Jesiah,
You have a filter applied in the Timeline Slicer to only show 2024 data. If you clear the Timeline Slicer by clicking the red x in the top right of the slicer on the Report page, you should see everything.
Before you do that, delete the empty rows at the bottom of your Transactions table. i.e. from row 406 onward. Never add spare rows to the table. If you type in the next available row after the table, it will automatically expand to include it. Having empty rows will result in 'blanks' in your reports and other potential problems.
Also, on the Categories sheet you have Cash and Credit Payments in as the Transfer category, but they have the wrong category type. It should be 'Transfer' not 'Expense'.
I've made the above fixes in the file attached and I've changed the Pie Chart to show the Categories instead of Subcategories. there are just too many subcategories for it to be useful in a pie chart.
You need to go to the transactions table, and in rows 47, 51, 114, 132, 346, 385 - the dates need entering properly. If you look in the formula, you'll see row 47 is missing the day and in the other cells the year is wrong.
