Hello -
I am attempting to create a product catalog, in which the user can search through a table of products, select the one they want and be able to see information on that product, including a picture, upc number, dimensions, etc.
I currently have the table of products set up and a separate tab with all the pictures for each item. However, I am having troubles getting a hyperlink added to the table that the user can click on to display the pic and associated info. Does anyone have any tips on how this might best be achieved??
Any help is much appreciated!
Thank you!

Hi Amanda,
Have you considered using Power BI data types, which are explicitly designed for this purpose? See the link for a tutorial and example.
Alternatively, this tutorial on looking up pictures in Excel might be help.

Thank you for the advice, Mynda!
Up until now, I did not have Power BI on my computer. Installed it this morning and am absolutely loving all the new features! Will be following your tutorial provided above to get the data types set up for the catalog.
Thanks again!

Hi Mynda,
I've watched the tutorial and followed step by step to create the Data Types for my table, but even after restarting Excel, I'm not able to see the data types I created.
Do you know why this might be? It only shows the "stock" data types in the ribbon.
I've attached the file I'm working with for reference. Please help!
Thank you,
Amanda

Hi Amanda,
Have you checked the licensing requirements just above the video on the Power BI Organizational Data Types post?

Thanks for the advise, Mynda.
Turns out it is related to the licensing requirements. I only have Power BI, not Pro. I realize this can be bought/downloaded, as well, but I don't have authorization to make that purchase. Is there another way to achieve this goal without using the Organizational Data Types?
I have implemented the techniques for looking up pictures in excel per your other tutorial, however, I am struggling to get the data portion to populate along with the picture that is selected. Do you have any recommendations on how to best achieve this?
Thank you,
Amanda
