Hi,
It's a long shot that you'll have the answer, but let's be optimistic.
I have a 6mon old PC and I worked with PQ on it before.
Since few days ago PQ couldn't be started.
Tried editing existing query, starting a new one from Table/Range, From Excel Workbook... Nothing!
It will not give any error, and I restarted my PC several times.
Talked to MS support but they couldn't help.
I'll take my machine tomorrow to the lab for health check, but in the mean time any idea is welcome.

Hello,
I assume you are running Microsoft Windows 10 or 11.
Could be an update that didn't get installed correct, Check your Windows Update history, are there any update errors? Try to fix any errors. You can download updates from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
Power Query (and many other Windows softwares) use Microsoft .NET Framework, check if the troubleshooter tool can detect any errors.
Start Excel in safe mode, press and hold CTRL key and start Excel. Does Power Query start? If it does then it might be an add-in that interferes. Start Excel normally and disable any add-in (one at a time), check if Power Query starts.
Next step I would do is to create a new user account and log in as the new user. Does Power Query start as it should then the issue is most likely due to a system user file error for your normal account. Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant could be a useful tool for detecting such errors.
If the issue still persists and you haven't run it already, try the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant.
Without error codes it is difficult to troubleshoot, but perhaps one of the steps above turns out useful. Best of luck.
Br,
Anders
Dear Anders,
I tried your suggestions but nothing works, so I re-reached MS Support and after a mere 3.5 hours the issue was solved (manually removing and reinstalling office, and than some).
