Mynda,
Since my last communication I've continued trying on this source.

Question about this forum - Is there any kind of communication, to the originator, that a response has been given?

Hi Mynda,
I followed your query - a couple of questions. You deleted the row that had the course and time, you added a column for course and time - where did the information come from? What if it is a different course and/or time? I envision using this query for any course and time. Kindly explain. Also the Par value is in with the players, it should be a separate column. Each hole has its own par value.

Hi Sal,
As I said: "Note: I added the Course and Time columns as text, but you could use a conditional column to add them automatically if you want."
You didn't provide an example of the desired result, so I was half guessing based on what you'd managed to do yourself, which had the par values with player details. If you want the par value in a separate column, then you can create a separate query for them and then merge the queries together using the 'hole number' columns to match them up.
Have a go yourself. If you get stuck, let me know.

Hi Mynda,
I've been working on this data formatting, still not right. I've included a link to my unsuccessful work. There is a tab "Mynda" where I explain where I am.
Any advise is appreciated.

Hi Sal,
Great to see you have a go and thanks for providing an example of what you'd like to see. I modified the query in the file I originally attached to include the 4 columns you wanted, as well as the tournament and gender information.
You need to extract the PAR information into a separate query (called PAR) and then merge it back in as a new column in the query called 'Table1', which is the final data set.
I hope that helps point you in the right direction.

Column C is players SCGA index (not needed in the query), column D is players handicap. I am trying to get all the header names in the first row then move the first row to headers. My understanding of the format is that there should be 18 rows for each player. My stumbling block is getting 18 holes in a column and also the 18 pars in a column. I’m getting 18 holes plus 18 pars then repetitive groups of pars all in in one column. The par column is 18 blanks then 18 pars then repetitive pars in one column. I can’t seem to get just the information needed in each of these columns without losing necessary data. Advise?
