Hi All,

This issue is regularly troubling me since long time. I prepare P&L using Pivot table & use "Calculated Items" function for creating Gross Profit, Net Profit etc in Pivot table. However when I'm trying to create P&L using Power Pivot, I cannot find any measures/ functions that do the work of "Calculated Items" for creating Gross Profit/ Net Profit etc.

Can someone help me with this.

Regards,

A

P.S. If teacher Mynda Treacy can make video on "How to create P&L in power pivot" for youtube than that will be great.

Calculated Items are calculated columns in the data model, not measures (which are the equivalent of calculated Fields.)

Hi Sir,

Thank you for taking time to reply. Does calculated columns add or subtract rows as it was in Pivot Table? I am very new to Power Pivot & have only workable knowledge on DAX.

Regards,

A.

Hi Alex,

Creating a P&L with Power Pivot is super complicated. Hopefully this post will help point you in the right direction.
