Mynda,
First of all, I want to say thanks for all the time and effort you keep bringing to the videos you have posted. They are great in all aspects. They have been very helpful for me and I am sure for a lot of people as well.
I just finished a Dashboard, one of the slicers looks like this:
2019
2020
<1/2/2019
>8/31/2020
I don't know how to get rid of <1/2/2019 and >8/31/2020 filter options in the slicer. Thanks in advance.
Hi Victor,
Great to hear you're enjoying my videos 🙂
The greater than and less than dates are automatically added by Excel when you group a date field in a PivotTable. The way to hide these in the Slicer is to edit the Slicer Settings (right-click the Slicer > Slicer Settings), check the box 'hide items with no data'. Note: this option is not available in earlier versions of Excel, so if you don't see it in the Settings, then your next best options are:
1. Add your own year column to your source data and use that for your Slicer
2. Make the Slicer small enough that the greater than and less than dates aren't visible. You'll still have a scroll bar though.

Changing the slicer settings worked. Thank you very much.
