Hi -
I created a file back in 2017 with a date table through 2019. I added the 2020 dates into the date table in the excel file, but the power pivot refresh does not include the date table. See attached screen shot.
Since the date table is not on the refresh list, I thought there may have been a connection to a separate file, but I can't locate anything in Queries & Connections.
I'd appreciate any ideas on how I might track this down, i.e., were there other date table creation options back in 2017 that are no longer active??
I'd send the file but it has an API to a Mysql database.
Because I can't send the file, I don't have great expectations on this post, but as always any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Hi Carolyn,
No screenshot attached.
Hard to say why there is no connection, usually they do not disappear.
But you do have better options to create a calendar without manually adding dates.
In newer versions, you can start a calendar simply from data model, Date Table>New

Hi Catalin,
Attached is the screen shot file - apologies!
I've dug deeper and added other screen shots on Connection2 tab. I'm pretty confident that Connection2 is to a date table but not the one in the working file. That's why Refresh All didn't work.
Back in 2017, I created multiple files for different plant locations and simply changed the first two connections (API's) to reference the specific plant. I may have created one date table file for use in each but the current Connection Properties screens don't give me any insights as to where the "table collection" is located - see Definition Tab screen shot.
Any ideas on how I can track the original date table down? I'm thinking it may be a Trust center problem? Working on client's server via VPN.
If there's no easy answer, any suggestions how I can use the current files and replace the date table? I've tried in the past but excel usually crashes and I wind up recreating the entire file.
Thanks again for any assistance!

Hi Carolyn,
Without seeing the file in context, can't help you.
Can you please open a ticket here: https://www.myonlinetraininghu.....lowly-desk, we should setup a desktop sharing session so I can see the file on your environment, if it's possible.

Dear Catalin,
Thank you so much for the help yesterday. As the file was originally created in 2017, it was using an older method of date table development. Your application of current date table creation techniques solved the problem!
This forum has always been a great tool for improved file development and personal training. Thanks again for being there!
