So, I am analyzing data to figure out if we should offer an Amazon Prime-like on time shipping fee for a year.

Our customer list is around 20,000.

We have monthly autoship, online, phone orders.

We had 210,000 orders or so in the 12 month period Sep 2018 - Aug 2019 (I figured I would analyze a 12 month period since that is what we are offering).

We make a margin off Shipping and Handling. Smaller for autoship, bigger for large one time orders.

So, I'm trying to do two things:

- Have a slider for adoption percentage that would randomly choose say 20% adoption overall.

- Have a similar slider by market (autoship, online, phone, etc.)

- Have the ability to put an Amazon $100 one time charge in the historical data to replace historical shipping and handling of multiple shipments per customer over that one year period.

- Solve for optimal one time payment

I have been able to format some data in excel and upload to PowerBI to compare four quartiles of buyers by number of orders, existing margin, etc. But I haven't been able to complete the above.

Hi Jason,

I'm not sure Power BI is the right tool for this what-if analysis. I'd use Excel for this. Maybe it can be done in Power BI, but I don't cover it in the course so it's not a solution I can point you to, sorry.

If you have a specific question in regards to writing a DAX measure or other topic I cover in the course, then I can help, but I can't help build your model, sorry.

Mynda,

Thank you. I think I'll go over to that tutorial now. I will let you know on DAX measure. Thanks again! - Jason
