I have a report that was downloaded from a database into excel that is holding on to the rich formatting for the "notes" section. To resolve, I have to F2 each individual cell, which then shows me the rich formatting text instead of the rich format code and text. Is there a way to remove the rich formatting all at once as opposed to F2-ing each cell?

Hello,

Try selecting the column (I assume all data is in a range or table) and press Ctrl + 1, in the Font tab, choose Regular and click OK.

Hi Katie,

Have you tried using the Format Painter in the Ribbon to copy/paste formatting from an unformatted cell over the rich text formatted cells?

If that doesn't work, please supply an example workbook so we can try a few possible solutions.

Regards

Phil
