Hi

This is my first post.

I have a excel file with two columns Start date and Finish Dates. Dates in both Columns are not sorted in original file.

I would like to extract Min date from Start column but by year similarly extract max finish date within the same year.

Please see the attached file with expected results.

Thank you all for your support.

Hello Andy,

Sorry, no file is attached. While at it, please add some sample data also if it is not already existing.

Br,
Anders

Hi Andy!

I have your formulas in cells I5:J13, please note that these are array formulas so you will need to enter them with ctrl+shift+enter in order to get the correct results. Hope it helps! 🙂

Hello,

Jessica has provided a nice solution with a pretty advanced formula.
Just want to share that with helper columns you can simplify the formula, see attached.

Anders
