I've learned a lot from following Mynda and this forum, so thank you.
That being said- I'm wondering if there is a way to house my excel data- not within a specific file so that it isn't too large.
I have various entities/businesses submitting monthly sales reporting. I've used query to clean their reports and create a mapping so that all the entities can be lined up together and compared apples to apples. My question is that as the months go by, the file grows and grows as I need the data both monthly and cumulatively.
If I store each month's data in a separate folder- then I cannot auto update because the query won't know where to go, if I keep all the data in the folder than every month excel is redoing the historical work and storing the old and new in the file.
I saw Mynda's recommendation to another user- at the end of the year to do a "paste values" of the table to save on the query work going forward- but I don't want to do this monthly.
Any ideas would be helpful.
To give context- there are 40 entities that need their data combined monthly.

Hello,
There are ways to minimize the data size, for example this article about Reduce the file size of your Excel spreadsheets. The best tip is to only load the data you need, if you need all data then you don't have that many options.
