I have been trying for some time to change the color of a single series in a bar chart based on conditional formatting in the data sheet.

I have attached a copy of the spreadsheet. In the Production Data tab, you will see WTD ACTUAL in Column B has conditional formatting to change the color from red to green based on comparing the values in Column B with the calculated values in WTD TARGET in Column C.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Christopher,

Welcome to our forum. Looks like your file didn't upload. You need to click the 'Start Upload' button after choosing your file.

Not to worry, here is a tutorial on how you can highlight points/bars in your charts:

https://www.myonlinetraininghu.....in-and-max

Conditional formatting doesn't get recognised by charts.

If you have any problems, please come back to this thread and share your file.

Cheers,

Mynda

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for sharing your file. I can see it's a bit more complicated than I envisaged.

In the attached file you'll see you have to not only put your above and below target values in separate columns, but you also need to stagger the data in their own rows so that you can set the overlap to 100% and still maintain the gap between each series.

Jon also talks about this technique here: https://peltiertech.com/cluste.....ar-charts/
