I am using MacOffice 365. My pivot table's dates will sort ascending correctly ie 12-May, 13-May.....8-Jun. When I add a slicer it will sort 'Oldest to Newest' and read 8-Jun, 12-May... ie it's running off the first number not the date format. Any ideas? I have tried reformatting dates in source data and pivot table, but problem always reappears. MacOffice has its limitations, is this just another?

Hi Angelo,
Sounds like a limitation. Modern versions of Excel for the PC don't have this issue, but I know it used to be an issue in earlier versions. You could add a date field to your source data that's text and structured mm-dd-yyyy so that it sorts correctly. Then use that field in your Slicer.
