Hi, I'm doing the Excel (2016) Expert course. Module 9.07 discusses Multiple Sheet References.
I tried to apply this to a workbook I use at work. My spreadsheet has 50+ sheets.
The SUM formula returned an error. When I did Error Checking, it does point to an error in a sheet but it does not say which one. How can I find which sheet it is without having to scroll through all of them?
Thank you for your help.
Hi Philippe,
In the top left of the Error Checking dialog box it tells you the cell with the problem. You can also click on Edit in Formula Bar and this should take you to the cell containing the error. You can click Next and Previous to move to the different errors.
Hope that helps.
Mynda
Hi Mynda,
The error has not been resolved yet. When I do Trace Error, an arrow comes up indicating that there is an error on another sheet. However, I struggle to identify where.
Please look at the attached. The Sum of Tabs sheet is where I entered the formula. For 2019 it seems fine, but after that it says #REF!
I hope you can clarify where I'm going wrong.
Thanks again.
Philippe
I cannot upload the file, it's 7MB large. Can I e-mail it to you?
Thanks.
