Hi,

I have built a dashboard using multiple slicers. Unfortunately, 2 users can access it only on a MAC. It seems the slicers are not supported in Excel for MAC. Is there a workaround for this problem?

Thanks

Bettina

Hi Bettina,

That's difficult to answer without seeing what you have created. On a Mac myself and can use slicers on Pivot Tables and Charts. No problem there. Did you by any chance use Power Pivot (the Data Model) to "shape" the data? If so, than that is the reason why Mac users can't work with your dashboard as PP(DM) is not supported by Excel for the Mac.

Hi Riny,
apologies for my late reply but I was away for the past 5 weeks. Thank you for pointing me to the right direction.
I use PowerPivot for the Data Model (transaction data, multiple dimension tables (region, date calendar, product categories) and a budget data table). Are you aware of any workaround for Mac users to still work with the dashboard based on a PP data model (view only but with working slicers, no editing needed by them)?

thanks
Bettina
