Hello friends,

I have been struggling with this one.  I have created a pareto chart using the combo option.  The underlying data comes from a data model that connects multiple pivot tables.  The charts are controlled by a slicer.

However, when I move from one item on the slicer to the other, the data type changes to bar graphs and the secondary axis vanishes.  How do I ensure the combo settings for pareto is maintained when I select different items on the slicer.

Regards,

Hi Anthony,

Unfortunately this is a known bug with Pivot Charts 🙁 The workaround is to create a regular chart from your PivotTable. I wrote about how to do that here: https://www.myonlinetraininghub.com/create-regular-excel-charts-from-pivottables

Kind regards,

Mynda
