I used customed theme as shown in to select colors most suitable to my data and product category for which I was analyzing my sales data but when I filter data through slicers, my color scheme goes for a toss and doesn't remian fixed for a product category.

Addiitonally, I am not able to use highlight features as we have in tableau

Lastly, the axis setting also doesn't adjust itself by default and everytime I use sliers I've to manually adjust it which is very annoying.

Hi Punyata,

Colour changes to chart series usually occur when colours are applied while the chart is in a filtered state, i.e. not all series are visible in the chart. You need to set the colour for every series for them to stick.

Excel doesn't have the cross filtering and highlight options available in Power BI, however you can mimic it to a degree as explained here: https://www.myonlinetraininghu.....ghlighting

The chart axis will automatically adjust based on the data present in the chart. You can set a fixed minimum and maximum axis value, or use a Ghost Series: https://www.myonlinetraininghu.....ost-series

P.S. I see this is the same question as you posted in our Help Desk. Please only post your question in one place going forward to save us both time. Preferably in the Forum so that others can benefit from our answers.

If I read this correctly, there is no way of locking a color to a specific selection from a slicer?  I have the colors set on the bar chart when all selections are selected, but when I filter for any one of the selections, the chart color changes.

Hi Doug,

You need to use the 'regular chart from a PivotTable' technique to fix a colour to a Slicer item.
