Hello again,

I am very slowly getting there. as a complete beginner some weeks ago I am getting a little more confident, but my internship is drawing to an end and I really need to deliver my work soon ! I have decided to simplify my power pivot needs, by appending my 2 sets of data to make the final graph work. I tested that, it works ๐Ÿ™‚

Now all I need to do is to repeat rows in my first data-sheet, as you suggested, to have an entry for each week where I should have an impact score.
I've managed to repeat rows, thanks to various posts on your website. You'll find the results in the enclosed, much simplified file.

However, I can't see how I can increment the week numbers (WEEKSTART column).

In my file,
on page HOPEDfor, column in red, what I'm looking to do (example only given on first 2 actions).
on page SOURCE is the initial data.
on page RESULT is the current query result.

I thought an index column would help, so I could create a sort of drill down type thing, or conditional column, but I don't know how to drill down, and I don't know how to create lines with only the first date filled in.
By the way, I only did the week start and week end columns to try and get started, they can be deleted if needed. ALso, my data set should never be huge so it doesn't really matter if we need to repeat lines per day (although some actions last 9 months so that would be messier).ย

Any more help would be really, really appreciated. I'm almost there !

Thanks, Eleanor

Hi Eleanor,

For numbering grouped data, you can find a tutorial here: https://www.myonlinetraininghu.....ower-query

It's not clear on what basis the first group starts at 18 and the second group starts at 14.

Thanks very much Catalin, I will try this now. For information, the start number for each group is the weeknumber of startdate of that action.

That worked !!!
I think my way of working is VERY longwinded, as each time I have a problem I get a plaster to put on it, but the essential point is it works ๐Ÿ™‚
I had to add an extra column to calculate start week + new series number to create the series of weeks involved. It worked well.

Now I have to clean up my files and document how everything is done....

Thanks all for your help !
