Good afternoon Mynda,

I have recently received new responsibilities from my company such as quality control, work that I have never done before.

As part of this work I have to carry out control and traceability of the concrete and steel in the work. MMy idea was to create an excel table with the data, and create a DASBOARD but I am not getting the desired result:

  1. I work with 2 or more tables, which are not connected, so the slicers do not work together
    2. Perhaps the data is not well thought out (we have different client, each client can have 1 or more bridges, and each bridge will have more than one beam; each beam will need 15/20 concrete truck, each truck will be one line)
    3. when applying segmenter the DASBOARD zone changes without keeping designated area. I create 3 different areas for the different componets: concrete, steel reinforcement and active steel

I only want to be able to have a report with the data (by client, by bridge o simple by beam) my excel level is not high, so I do not intend to have MACROS or POWER BI or anything like that.

I'm a little desperate because I watch and watch videos on YouTube but in the end they do steps that I don't know how to do or steps that I think I don't need. In the videos everything seems so easy, and it is not

I would like to be able to obtain a report that is visual and helps the team to work

Thanks in advance

Kind Regards

Amaro

Hi Amaro,

It's difficult to help without seeing your file. However, the most important thing is that your data is stored in a tabular layout. If your data is spread over multiple tables, then you can use Power Query to consolidate it, or it may be better suited to using Power Pivot and creating relationships between the tables. Hard to say without seeing your file. Are you able to share it, or maybe a mock-up file?

Mynda
