Hi,

I'm having troubles with Excel 2016 (in a new PC under Win10Pro).

The point is I've an excel macro that reads information of a .dbf table (located in a net folder) and then you can add a register.

I'm using it for years, working fine.

It uses ADO connection, it opens .dbf tables, it points to a register or you can add a new register, then modifies columns, updates the recordset, closes it and finally closes the connection. It acts as if it were doing it perfectly but it doesn't really write a single byte. This same excel works fine in any other PC across the net. Even more, it works fine in this very PC but only from time to time. When it works fine you can add registers normally, but if you close the excel and open it again, it won't work. I need to  add that I debug the macro, it's executed line by line with no error at all. (it opens, it adds, it modifies, it updates, it closes,...)

A friend of my told me since two or three weeks he has a similar problem (no identical) in a PC which an user has to open it, fill a few cells with some info, saving it and closing it. Surprisingly the excel doesn't record any change when it's performed by one of several PC's they have, even when the operation doesn't give any error.

Any clue?

Have a nice day,

Ramon

Hi again,

I've been told by someone that the fact of using Excel 2016 in a PC, without signing in, could drive me into troubles such this one.

Do you think it is possible?

In fact, I signed in, and the Excel has began to write the registers in a proper way. I don't know if it will keep working fine, although.

edit: It doesn't work fine.. sometimes it does, others it doesn't. So, nothing changed!Frown

Best regards,
