I am trying to export excel data to an existing word document with numerous content controls. I have set up data pushes from excel to other word docs with docvariables, but I haven’t used content controls before. From what I can find online it looks like I could do some very time consuming work of placing tags on the content controls and writing code for a data push based on that, but I’m staring down 100+ variables and it would be far easier to just cut and paste my existing docvariables into the content controls in the new document. I tried that, but they don’t seem to paste. Is there an easy workaround that I’m missing?

Hi Nati,

Can you please explain what it is you are actually trying to do.  Why are you exporting data from Excel to Word?  There might be a better way.

Phil
