I am trying to Calculate Year on year difference and % for each month in Power Query rather than Power BI. So Jan 2018 V Jan 2019 should be 3680060-3347464 = 332596 and 9%. Thanks Eileen

Hi Eileen,
Power query isn't the right place to do a calculation like this.
If you're using Power BI then you need to write measures that use the DAX time intelligence functions.
If you're using Excel then you can do it with a PivotTable, as Alan illustrated. There are no 'calculations' to give as such, because it's done by the PivotTable as explained in this PivotTable Month on Month Calculation tutorial.
