I apologize if I missed this when reviewing the other posts, but I have an issue I've been struggling with in Power Query I'm hoping some one here can help with.
I need to average a set of columns based on a created date.
I have a column that is called Created Date and 4 columns that are have month headers (3/1/2023,2/1/2023,1/1/2023 and 12/1/2022) with numeric values.
I am needing to average these based on the date in my Created Date column.
Example:
Create Date = March – Average March volume
Create Date = Feb – Average March volume
Create Date = Jan – Average Feb/March volume
Create Date = Dec – Average Jan/Feb/March volume
Create Date = Nov or prior – Average Dec/Jan/Feb/March volume
I have tried several ways of doing this but I always get errors over datetime or circular references. I've not been working with PQ for very long and this is one of those issues that's causing huge problems for me as I need it to complete a report. I'm about to give up and just do it in excel then have to futz with it every month. Any help would be phenomenal.
Thank you in advance.
