How many number of queries / connections can a excel workbook can have? Is there any limitation on number of queries?
I have created around 50 queries in an excel workbook (though data are small - file size is 600 kb only) and it takes lot of
time for my laptop to open power query editor.

I'm not aware of a published limitation on the number of queries

I imagine the slowness is due to 50 queries being evaluated. If you only have 1 query I'd think it'd open much quicker.
Can you do anything to reduce the number of queries?

Thanks for reply.
I have monthly trial balances from 4 divisions of a company. I created query for each trial balance which added upto 55 queries!!!
And I appended these 55 queries adding one more query. Is there any other way to model this?

You could try checking the Fast Data Load option to see if that helps?
