Hi,

I got a dataset which is sensitive loaded to power query but didn't load to excel (just connection only)

is there a way to stop user from accessing to Power Query Editor to amend all the queries and setting ?

Basically my excel front end just with two Key1 and Key2 for user to search the dataset fields for desired result,  however management don't want user to be able to enter to PQ to load the entire set and save into their local drive

What is the best approach ?

thank you !

I'd say the best approach is not to give them the workbook with the data in it. Either give them a static summary report, or adopt a completely different approach. (you could use customui to disable the relevant groups/commands on the ribbon but that is by no means foolproof)
