Hi Mynda,
Oh dear, me again. The same power query as prior, but this time I had to make a change and delete the column "Media Owner" as this was duplicating the revenues since these were already summed in the the awful source data. I amended the query and had to go back quite far in the steps, since deleting this column caused some errors. I fixed everything, but now it won't download.
I attach the revised workbook for your reference.
tnx
Tracy.
Hi Tracy,
There is something in the empty cells in your source data value columns (columns 7 onward) that is causing the problem but not showing up as an error in Power Query and Clean and Trim aren't fixing it either.
I selected these columns in the Excel Table > Ctrl + G to open the Go To dialog box > Special > Blanks > this will select all of the blank/empty cells, which Power Query isn't seeing as blank, then you can press the DELETE key and clean them.
Once you do this you can refresh the query.

Hi Mynda,
Thanks for the response. I have followed the instructions but it doesn't seem to work for me. Still get the download error. 🙁 . Sorry to be a pest, am I doing something else incorrectly?
I attach the revised s/sheet where I highlighted blanks and pressed delete.
tnx
Tracy.
Hi Tracy,
I made a few changes. See file attached.

Thanks Mynda, the problem is sorted. I have managed to complete the query and the data looks great.
You'll be pleased to know that I have enrolled in the Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI courses.
tnx
Tracy.
My pleasure, Tracy 🙂 It's great to have you join my courses!
