Hello Everyone

I am facing a problem with the attached excel file where I have different currency rates for different months in one sheet in the other sheet dynamically I want to show the rats based on the date range and currency.

I have attatched the question file also. If anyone can help please let me know.

Since you posted your question in the Power Query section, I assumed that you expect a PQ solution. In the attached file I've done what I believe you asked for. See if you can follow the steps. You need to unpivot the Rates table first. Then you can merge the Dates table with the Rates table based on the month-end for the various dates.

Come back here if you get stuck.

Dear Riny van Eekelen Sir,

Thank you for the answer. Yes my expectation was for PQ It solved 90% of my job. Just two extra queries/questions:

1. As in the sales (Date) table the dates start from August 2022 but in the rate table starts from January 2022. If in the sales table there are data before 2022 i.e. 2021 or 2020 is there any way that in the Date table rates will show only the January 2022 rates.

2. In the sales (Date) table i can see for 2023 there are no rates showing, I know as there are no rates for 2023 in the rates table. But is there any way the last rates I mean December 2022 rates will show for the 2023 and onward dates in the sales (Date)?

 

If you can share an example file or answer file like before will grateful to you Sir.
