Hi There,

I am Sakshi, new to Power Query as well as to this group.

I have a very small doubt, I am getting daily reports of my firm where all pending deliveries are getting captured.

I have created a query where I can see a summary of the pending cases for a particular day, and the next day I get a new report which again talks about the current day.

I want to create a summary in which my expectation is that the Power query should capture a daily summary of each day and store (append ) in a separate query and I should be able to keep track of each day performance (even daily reports get updated power query should capture summary data - Like paste special which i can tracker whenever required).

Is this functionality is possible in excel power Query? Please guide.

Thanks in Advance.

Sakshi

Hi Sakshi,

Welcome to our forum. Some of your question isn't clear e.g. see section underlined "I should be able to keep track of each day performance (even daily reports get updated power query should capture summary data)"

However, it sounds like you only want the latest report in your query. If so, simply save the current file containing your current pending cases over the top of the old file so they have the same file name, and then refresh the query to get the current data.

Hi Mynda,

Thank you for your reply !!!

Let me explain my question again

Every day, we work with 1000+ orders, we review our performance at the end of the day

Sharing sample base data snap in Fig 1 attachment, based on this data I prepare summary (Fig2).

Since the base data size is more, every day I remove previous day data and upload new (Todays) data and hence the summary which I get in Fig2 is always for the day.

I am looking for the solution where once I upload the data power query stores summary in separate query and append the same on daily basis so that we can be able to see daily summary data in one shot even base data does not have previous days information

Please refer fig 3 for the desired result of summary

Thanks & Regards.

Sakshi
