I just watched 2.05.
You mention "unpivoting something" in what is now the 'Transform Sample File', and you filter out beverages, but you leave the data types for the Other Queries table.
In the notes you write:
- Make changes required prior to appending in the Sample Binary Query e.g. transposing, unpivoting etc. Filtering and additional columns can be done in the final query under 'Other Queries'.
The main concept if I'm understanding correctly is that you want to make changes on the 'single' file (Transform Sample File) before appending multiple files together (Other Queries). But what happens if you don't?
In previous projects i have made all my changes in the Other Queries folder - is that an issue? Do i have to re-do them to be safe?
Also, complete sidetrack, i can't watch videos on my phone - is that normal?

Hi Mat,
No, you don't need to re-do your queries if you've made changes in the final query in the Other Queries folder. You'd know if you need to make the changes in the Sample Query because it wouldn't be right in the final query once they're all appended. You have to unpivot at the individual file level before appending, which is why this is done in the sample file.
