In lesson 3.04 Mynda has three tables:
- seafood
- dairy
- meet
She appends the queries into a new one: sales data.
Let’s say she adds them has the new query in the data model and builds reporting pivot tables tables from there.
Next month the business added candy. And she gets a new table for the candy data in a new file. The table has the same structure as the others.
She creates a new query for the candy data. How does she append this new query to the existing ‘sales data’ query. The goal of this is to avoid having to rebuild the reporting structure every time a new product category is added.
Any thoughts?

You have posted this question in the public forum instead of the private course members support discussion tab available when you're logged into the course. For your convenience, I will answer this question here.
If your new data appears as a new table in the current workbook containing the query, you can load the new table to Power Query, and then go to the query that appends the tables, edit the step for the Source and add the new table.
Upon close & load, the PivotTables connected to the query that appends the tables will update to include the new data.

I added a new query from a separate file to the 'Query Model' [please correct my terminology so I can name 'it' appropriately] in the 'consolidated file'.
It seems like once a query is in that 'Query Model' , any query in that 'Model' is treated as part of it and referenced from within the 'Model'. Am I correct?
Any pitfalls or drawbacks you have encountered using this approach?
I will add this conversation to the course discussion so other people can benefit from it.
