Hi, using Office 365 and enrolled in the Power Query training course.
Section 2.04 - Data Sources - From CSV / Text File
Using both of the example files (pq.2014), the Sales column (col 4), is being given a data type of text rather than Currency. Should we change the data type to be Currency it then errors.
Are you able to advise why currency is not being detected automatically?
We have tried changing the detection based on 200 rows only and full data set.

Hi James,
It's probably a regional issue. My File Origin is detected as 1200: Unicode at the file import step.
You can try using Change Type > Using Locale (see lesson 4.02)
