Hi everyone
I've attached a table with employee data (which I've included in a PPVT Model):
*Start Date
*Termination Date
I'm only interested in the number of employees (Head Count) in 2017.
Thus, I need to identify the following (By month for 2017)
-number of starters (in 2017)
-number of leavers (in 2017)
-number of current employees.
Can you assist me with the formula to calculate these 3 metrics that I can track the Head count on a monthly basis, please? The challenge is that the current number needs to be dynamic, as this needs to change every month when the employee data updates.
Thank you

Hi Mynda
Yes, the table that I attached is one of the source tables in my Power Pivot model, which I'm developing for an HR department's monthly reports.
Will it be easier to do the calculations in the Pivot table itself or in the source table? Either way, can you guide me with the correct or best formulas, please?
Thank you
