hello everyone, I am not sure if it is the right place to ask for this question. In my previous workplace, information officer has developed a tool for sales, purchasing and inventory team to open the report page using IE, and then we can extract the report into excel. - hopefully I explain it clearly.

I just want to understand how to do it? thanks heaps for help!

Hi Tina,

I'm not really clear on what exactly you are asking - how to create a report you can open in a browser, or how to open that already created report in a browser?

If it's creating a report then we need a lot more info to work out what is required - what systems are involved, what data is being extracted and prepared.

If it's opening a HTML file then you just double click it to open it, or if your system isn't set up to do that, in your browser press CTRL+O and locate the file.

Or is the report online somewhere?

Regards

Phil

Hello Tina,

What you are showing is a service from a SQL server, also refered to as SSRS. You can read more about it from the link below. You would also need to find a more suitable forum for SQL Server questions.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/create-deploy-and-manage-mobile-and-paginated-reports?view=sql-server-2017

Br,

Anders
