Hi guys,

Having some trouble getting this function to work, I am trying to search for data within specific tables using the index match function without manually typing in table name (want this to be automated based on inputs)

The particular part im struggling with is referencing the header/column of a specific table within match function.

I have created a corresponding table cell to help simplify process but cant get function to recognise the headers/columns of table without manually typing it in.

I'm not sure if I'm just slow this morning or what, but I'm confused. Why are you using indirect with a direct cell reference? That will slow down your worksheet as Indirect is a volatile function and unnecessary when using a direct reference; Index can also retrieve a direct cell reference. That being said, you may be doing everything right and I can't see it because I can't manipulate it to see what you're trying to do.

Please upload an anonymized selection of your worksheet, it will help us better be able to serve you and answer your questions. When uploading, be sure to click the 'upload' button and wait for the gray check mark before posting.
