Hi everyone,
I'm new here after finding some of Mynda's videos and really enjoying them and have definitely learned some things. I would consider myself an advanced beginner, so I know I still have a lot to learn.
So here is my dilemma. I'd like to try and create a dashboard for one of the workbooks I receive bi-weekly that tracks my office's workload. However, because I get it twice a week, the data will change for specific records in the data table. What I'm trying to learn and understand is how can I create a dashboard off this table and then update it when I receive a new workbook without copying an pasting the new data table into the workbook with the dashboard? For example, I get the workbook on Monday, I create my dashboard using Monday's data table and then on Thursday when I get a new workbook, how can I update the data without having to recreate everything?
I've tried google searching for answers, but I'm guessing I'm just not using correct Excel terminology to find what I'm looking for.
Apologize in advance if I'm not being clear in what I'm describing. Unfortunately I cannot share my workbook as the information in it is sensitive.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Thomas,
Welcome to our forum! It's great to hear you found my videos helpful.
You can use Power Query to automate the updating of your reports with the new files. If you use Get Data > From Folder, you can simply replace the previous file with the new one and then press the Refresh All button to update the reports.
You can see an introduction to Power Query here and take my Power Query course if you want to learn more.
