Hi everyone - first post!
I'm using Excel 365
If I protect my sheet, I cannot delete a row in a table by right-clicking in that table and selecting "delet row from table" - the delete option is greyed out. I've tried every option of access in the sheet protection submenu.
I don't really want to have to let users unprotect the sheet to delete a table row.
I've tried the VBA command to allow row deleting too - that doesn work either, I'm guessing it's something else for tables.
Does anyone have any ideas please?
Thanks in advance
Rod
Hi Rod,
Welcome to our forum!
Tables do not allow editing when the sheet is protected. You need to write some VBA code that unprotects the sheet and allows the edit, then reprotects the sheet.
If you're stuck with that, please post your question and example file with your attempt in our VBA forum.
