Relational sorting of sheets within a workbook

I have a workbook (attached) which has 25 sheets – one per diver.  Each diver will have a different name and dive list.  That is the information which will populate the first page, ‘Official’s List’.  I have created 3 divers from team AAA, and 4 from team BBB – along with their names.  As the BBB team has one more diver than the AAA team, I would want their first diver (Diver 4) to go first, followed by AAA’s first diver (Diver 1), then BBB, then AAA and so on.  So the pages would be moved to show, 4,1,5,2,6,3,7.  If you move those pages to that order, the ‘Official’s List page will still show them as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, not the order of the pages where their information has been added.

It doesn't matter if I rename the tabs to reflect the names on the sheets.  Each set of lines on the first page is looking for the corresponding fields in each of the 25 diver sheets.  You’ll see them listed with name and team on that page.

Thanks

Hi Dwight,

Excel isn't designed to be used this way, which is why you're having trouble.

If you change your approach and insert the dive order on each diver's sheet (in cell T3), you can then use a 3D VLOOKUP formula to return the Official's List information.

I can't help you with an example because your file is password protected!
