Hi all Forum members....

Happy to join a forum like this.

I have an excel sheet with some 50 questions, the choice of answers are ; 'YES' - 'NO' - 'N/A'.

these question are categorised in 8 groups, and

each group has one/two questions which when answered 'NO' would render the entire group as 'NO'.

How do I take data out from this sheet to maKE a chart.

Hi Sathish welcome on Mynda's Forum. Do you want to make a chart of the 8 groups? So 8 values. Or do you want to make a chart of the answers of all questions and then for each question how many yes, how many no and how many n/a? And if it is only for groups, what is the groupvalue with for instance 3 questions answered with yes and 3 with n/a? So maybe it is possible for you to upload a test sheet with groups, questions (fake or not) and how you validate the answers so that is more clear what you want to present in the chart.

Hello Frans,

Thanks for asking.... here I am attaching an excel sheet with data...;

The sheet contains data from several Labs/offices, each office/lab answers some ~50 Questions with "YES", "NO" , "NA".

(with some comments which we can ignore at this stage...).

Each set of rows in the sheet are differentiated with colour code as they are of different category of questions (Fire, General, Pressure, Exit, etc),

I am trying to take data from here and make some useful chart that can show how each office/Lab is doing in terms of each category.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks

Sathish
