Hello,
Is there a function that can determine whether any seven (or eight or nine?) consecutive characters appearing in one cell can be found in another cell? I've tried vlookup, xmatch, xlookup, index match, and left, mid and right function (and combinations thereof). I've also tried using wildcards.
Thank you.

Hi M,
Welcome to our forum! I recommend you use Power Query to find partial text strings.
Hope that points you in the right direction. If you get stuck, please come back with a sample Excel file so we can see your data in context.
