Hi Everyone,
Would just like to ask on what would the IF and sum formula to use on this.
On a separate sheet, I need to sum all the Complete and Incomplete figures but per region.
Office | Region | Complete | Incomplete |
BVI | Americas | 3 | 4 |
Hong Kong | Asia | 4 | 5 |
Cayman | Americas | 3 | 6 |
London | EMEA | 2 | 5 |
France | EMEA | 1 | 3 |
Singapore | Asia | 3 | 1 |
Cyprus | EMEA | 4 | 2 |
Japan | Asia | 5 | 2 |
Below would be the output, though was wondering what would be the formula to do this instead of manual approach. Appreciate your help. Thanks.
Region | Complete | Incomplete |
Americas | 6 | 10 |
Asia | 12 | 8 |
EMEA | 7 | 10 |

Hi Emmanuel,
You should do this with a Pivot Table - it will do the sum calculations automatically for you
Excel Pivot Tables Explained • My Online Training Hub
You can do it with SUMIF but it is more labourious, I wouldn't recommend it.
Check the attached file for examples of both the Pivot Table and SUMIF approaches.
Regards
Phil
