I'd like to sort a group of employees based on their year of birth and assign each person to one of the following generation labels:
Birth year:
>1980 = Millennial
1965-1980 = Generation X
1946-1964 Baby Boomer
Pre-1946 = Silent Generation
Can someone offer a suggestion? Attached is the spreadsheet. In Column C, I'd like to add one of the generation "labels" based on the person's birth year.
Thanks

Hi John
You can try using a VLOOKUP. Refer attachment.
I noticed that the YEAR BORN are not "real" numbers (left-aligned) so I did the same to the YEAR in the lookup table.
If you change them to real numbers then you will need to do the same for the lookup table.
Hope this helps.
