Is there a way to bypass Excel error by using 2 columns for a drop down list. The drop down list shoukd appear as below:
A123 | Table 1 |
C452 | Chair |
Z458 | Bed 1 |
Z666 | Bed 2 |
A745 | Table 2 |
So I can list the code and the description of the code, because listing only the code (on the 1st column) is meaningless.

Hi Rachid,
You can't use 2 columns to create a data validation (i.e. drop down) list. The way to achieve what you need is to use the code only and then a lookup function in the adjacent cell. That may be VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH depending on your Excel version.
